Thank you for your bugreport. I've looked through the debug log, and would like to ask you to try libxine1 from debian/experimental as well. If that version fixes you're problem, then fine :) If not, I assume that it is an ffmpeg problem. Can you verify by trying to play the video using ffplay from ffmpeg? If the green blocks are still there, then we found the problem.
