Although I agree that this looks like an arts problem, I am baffled since I have here a GNOME desktop, now a KDE one. This, IMHO, indicates a broken default value for at least one of the installed packages. To be honest, I was expecting gxine to be an interface for GNOME, and not at all for KDE, this judging from the package short description.
