Package: mplayer Version: 1.0~rc1-3 Severity: normal Dear maintainers,
first of all, thank you very much for bringing mplayer in Debian. I tried to play a movie with it, but did not manage (see below). To be honest, I did not manage to play _any_ video on this computer. There may be something missing, but I would have expected mplayer to pull it with its dependancies. I installed this system in february, and usually never "apt-get upgrade". But I do install things from sid and this pulls out dependancies. I hope that resolving this problem together can help people upgrading from Sarge to use Mplayer, including me :) Have a nice day, Charles Plessy, Wako, Saitama, Japan. sorbet【~】$ cat mplayer-crash.txt MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.2-DFSG-free (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team AltiVec found CPU: PowerPC mplayer: could not connect to socket mplayer: No such file or directory Failed to open LIRC support.
