Package: sox Version: 12.17.9-1 Followup-For: Bug #382275 I attach a patch to mp3.c to enable MP3 writing. The configure script (or something) also needs fixing to replace -lmp3lame with -ldl, and of course you need to configure without disabling MP3 writing support. I'm sorry, I don't understand the Debian build system well enough to do that (when I unpack the Debian sources for sox I just get a binary tarball).
As to the DFSG problems I mentioned before, I was confused, as libmad is of course free, and the problem is rather with patents. So there's no problem with this patch. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages sox depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.13-1 ALSA library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libmad0 0.15.1b-2.1 MPEG audio decoder library ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisenc2 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi sox recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
