Package: python-pam
Version: 0.4.2-10.4
Severity: important
Using python-pam as unprivileged user does not work correctly. I tried it with
the provided pamtest.py script which
comes with the
python-pam package. My Trial to authenticate myself results in:
a) Go away! (Not authenticated)
when entering the correct pass
b) Go away! (('Authentication failure', 7))
when entering the wrong pass
As user root authentication works as expected. To reproduce simple start python
pamytest.py as unpriviledeg user in the
direcorty where the script is located.
