That's not necessarily a problem; the subflavor packages depend on
emacs-bin-common so they could conceivably register the emacsclient
alternative themselves and have the assurance that emacsclient is really
installed.

The *real* problem here is that emacsclient (probably) cannot be an
alternative and a slave for the emacs alternative at the same time, so
fixing this bug would require coordinating the change across emacs21,
emacs-snapshot, xemacs21, zile...  And it would probably break if people
still have emacs20 packages installed, or cannot upgrade to the latest
versions of all three packages for some reason...
