What faults?

The extended rationale for this patch is apparently lost (#7051 doesn't
exist in the BTS) but if you don't explain what real world problems it
causes, I don't see a reason to change anything. We've had this patch
since emacs19 and you're the first user to complain, to the best of my
knowledge.

Thanks,
