Hi, The segfault I hit was due to incorrect error handling in sane. When that is fixed, I get a scanner error "incorrect window". I have no idea where it comes from (perhaps the scanner itself), grep doesn't find the message in the source (neither in the module, nor in sane).
Anyway, I think the patch should just be used. Although it isn't enough to fix my scanner, it should at least be an improvement, and it may work for the other scanners.
