Hello,

Back in the old days, one of my Irssi-BitlBee scripts
(bitlbee-tab-completion.pl) was in the utils/ dir of the stable
releases on bitlbee.org. Then, when I made more scripts and more
frequently updates, Wilmer (the main developer of BitlBee), decided to
remove it from the utils dir. He added a link to my site in the
package, so people could download the scripts themselves. Therefore,
adding the scripts to the BitlBee package might be a wrong idea.

I still think Irssi should make their script repo more accessible.
Then I can add my scripts there. I hear more complains about the
script repo. looks like no-one is able to post updates or new scripts
to the list.

Btw, I added Wilmer to this bug.

Hi,

did anyone consider asking for those to be added to the bitlbee
package? There's no rule against multiple packages installing stuff
into /usr/share/irssi/scripts/. (Though admittedly that would require
installing bitlbee on the irssi machine if bitlbee does not run on
localhost.)
