Package: ntop Version: 2:3.0-5 Severity: wishlist The following logcheck messages fall through the ntop logcheck rules. Please fix that in the appropriate file:
violations.ignore.d:
Nov 4 03:21:41 wall ntop[5937]: CLEANUP: Locked purge mutex, continuing
shutdown
Nov 4 03:21:41 wall ntop[5937]: RRD: Locked mutex, continuing shutdown
ignore.d.server:
Nov 4 03:21:41 wall ntop[5937]: SIGPIPE: Handled (ignored) 0 errors
Nov 4 03:21:41 wall ntop[5937]: ICMP: Thanks for using icmpWatch
Nov 4 03:21:41 wall ntop[5937]: ICMP: Done
Nov 4 03:21:41 wall ntop[5937]: LASTSEEN: Thanks for using LsWatch
Also, please note that logcheck rules are supposed to match the
entire line as accurately as possible. Thus, it would be awesome if
you could refine the rules that exist. For instance, the above
SIGPIPE message would be filtered with:
^\w{3} [ :[:digit:]]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ ntop\[[[:digit:]]+\]:
[[:space:]]+SIGPIPE: Handled \(ignored\) [[:digit:]]+ errors?$
The syntax used is that of egrep.
Cheers,
