Package: libapache2-mod-php5 Version: 5.1.6-5 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
Because of the versioned dependency upon apache2-mpm-prefork, it is not possible to use libapache2-mod-php5 with the apache2-mpm-itk package. I tried altering apache2-mpm-itk to Provide apache2-mpm-prefork, but this is no good as the dependency is versioned. Apache MPMs seem to be divided up into two types: single-threaded and multi-threaded. I think the best way to solve this problem would be to make the various apache2-mpm-foo packages Provide the virtual packages apache2-mpm-singlethreaded or apache2-mpm-multithreaded as appropriate; then libapache2-mod-php5 can depend on apache2-mpm-singlethreaded. - -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (530, 'testing'), (520, 'unstable'), (510, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFWRWVshl/216gEHgRAiAxAKCegEZE3KHxkup4U2HYSFD4KImgHgCg1hzs GpQGPpGmSakU/vK+N6BraZU= =wwXa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
