Package: exim4 Version: 4.50-8sarge2 Severity: normal
sendmail and the sendmail man page are links to the corresponding exim files, but the manpage for exim has no reference to exim being called as sendmail. The exim man page documents calling exim as exim4, mailq, rsmtp, rmail, runq, and newaliases. But not sendmail. Please document exim called as sendmail, and what the equivelant exim switches would be. In particular how to call exim as sendmail to send messages from the commandline. -- Package-specific info: Exim version 4.50 #1 built 11-Apr-2006 12:29:22 Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 2004 Berkeley DB: Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB 4.2.52: (December 3, 2003) Support for: iconv() IPv6 GnuTLS Lookups: lsearch wildlsearch nwildlsearch iplsearch cdb dbm dbmnz dsearch nis nis0 passwd Authenticators: cram_md5 plaintext Routers: accept dnslookup ipliteral manualroute queryprogram redirect Transports: appendfile/maildir/mailstore autoreply lmtp pipe smtp Fixed never_users: 0 Configuration file is /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated # /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf # # Edit this file and /etc/mailname by hand and execute update-exim4.conf # yourself or use 'dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config' dc_eximconfig_configtype='smarthost' dc_other_hostnames='somehost.somedomain.com:somehost' dc_local_interfaces='127.0.0.1' dc_readhost='someotherhost.someotherdomain.com' dc_relay_domains='' dc_minimaldns='false' dc_relay_nets='' dc_smarthost='10.0.0.10' CFILEMODE='640' dc_use_split_config='false' dc_hide_mailname='true' dc_mailname_in_oh='true' mailname:somehost.somedomain.com *** .reportbug.sig NOTE: Due to debian.org's inadequate measures to prevent email address harvesting from bugs.debian.org, you must include "Bug#", without the quotes, in the subject of any email that you wish to send me directly.
