I'm not sure exactly when it was fixed, since I don't track sid closely, and I had horizontal scrolling disabled for some time, because another user didn't like it. But I did enable it for a moment and I can confirm that the bug does not happen any more (though I don't have 2.14.3-2, only 2.14.3-1).
