Package: dhcp3-client-udeb Version: 3.0.4-10 Severity: normal Tags: d-i I built a d-i image that used this udeb as its dhcp client (with the 2.6.18 kernel), and it fails to work, in both vmware and qemu. dhclient fails to get a lease:
send_packet: Network is down receive_packet failed on eth0: Network is down It retries several times, then gives up. ifconfig eth0 shows no TX or RX traffic. Using the v2 dhcp-client-udeb, I don't get this problem, and of course dhcp3 works outside of d-i, so this must be some issue with the udeb, or with the d-i environment. -- see shy jo
