Package: debian-reference
Version: 1.09-3
Followup-For: Bug #364500
Alexander Blazej also reported tome privately as follows:
| I believe with the arrival of Etch the Debian Reference section 10.7
| will be out of date. The version of udev (0.100-2.2 or greater) that
| will be in Etch creates contains the
| file /etc/udev/persistent-net-generator.rules which in turn will create
| the system specific file /etc/udev/rules.d/z25_persistent-net.rules .
|
| With z25_persistent-net.rules the udev system both makes network names
| consistant between system boots, and allows the user to customize the
| default name assigned by editing z25_persistent-net.rules .
He may not publicize his email address so he is bcced.
