So essentially trying to run: wodim -v gracetime=2 dev=/dev/hda speed=4 -tao driveropts=burnproof -eject -blank=fast -force If it doesn't work, then it would be useful to remove the options one by one until it works. That way, you could find which option is causing the problems. Other than that, you could try the version of wodim that's mentioned in bug #398465, but the wodim maitainer only prepared a i386 package. It might be worth asking him for advice, perhaps there's an easy way for him to provide you with a PowerPC version.
