Package: vlc-plugin-esd Version: 0.8.6-svn20061012.debian-1 Severity: normal
Hi, I'm trying to use this plugin to send the sound output to another box, running an eSound server, but: 1. no sound is sent out there; 2. I can't interact with vlc's interface. All what I've got is the video stream being displayed correctly. I also tried to use a local eSound server (by letting the `esound server' configuration entry empty), which works fine. I also tried to use the remote eSound server with xmms, which is also OK. Having a look at the communications between the boxes, there are a few packets exchanged (a dozen), and that's all (WRT to the 16001 port).
