Package: iceweasel-locale-fi Version: 2.0-0.1 Severity: important Tags: l10n
I installed iceweasel-locale-fi_2.0-0.1_all.deb from the location mentioned in the following bug report: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=399780 In this version, the "About Iceweasel" popup still says "Firefox" below the globe symbol. It also erroneously claims that Iceweasel and the Iceweasel logo are trademarks of the Mozilla Foundation. The name Iceweasel feels a bit difficult for Finnish users. Fire and fox are much more familiar words than weasel. I would suggest that the name be localized, given that it is not a trademark. In Finnish, it would be Jäänäätä or Debianin Jäänäätä, e.g.: brandShortName=Jäänäätä brandFullName=Debianin Jäänäätä vendorShortName=Debian in brand.properties. Generally, I would try to apply the following changes to the original translation and review the result: s/Firefoxi/Jäänäädä/g s/Firefox\>/Jäänäätä/g -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: LANG=fi_FI, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages iceweasel-locale-fi depends on: ii iceweasel 2.0+dfsg-1 lightweight web browser based on M iceweasel-locale-fi recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
