Package: jpilot Version: 0.99.9.2-1 I've recently updated my AMD64 system to use udev instead of hotplug. I updated jpilot's preferences to use usb: as the synchronisation device. I had to modify /etc/udev/permissions.rules to make /dev/usb/... read-write by ordinary users.
pilot-xfer -l -p usb: now works as expected. But on hitting the sync or backup buttons on jpilot, I hear the `connected' tone from my Visor edge, then almost immediately afterwards, I see `The connection between your handheld and the desktop was lost' on the visor's screen, and jpilot just sits there. The messages on the jpilot screen are: **************************************** Syncing on device usb: Press the HotSync button now **************************************** I'm using package libusb-0.1-4 version 0.1.12-2 if that makes a difference. The same problem occurs in an IA32 chroot. -- Dr Peter Chubb http://www.gelato.unsw.edu.au peterc AT gelato.unsw.edu.au http://www.ertos.nicta.com.au ERTOS within National ICT Australia -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
