hi,
it would be nice if postgresql-client-N.N packages could provide
a common virtual package, like mysql does:
copelandia[~]22:26:06$ apt-cache show mysql-client-5.0 | grep Provides
Provides: virtual-mysql-client, mysql-client, mysql-client-4.1
(the first one is the example to which i'm alluding)
this way, a package that requires a functional psql client could use
this similar to how packages Depends: apache2 | httpd.
