I upgraded my system from sarge to etch last weekend. In sarge
everything works great.
Now, I can't download pictures from my camera (canon power shot a520 -
ptp class camera).
My steps:
1. Plug camera (using usb cable) and turn on,
2. dmesg tells:
usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8
usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
3. I execute gtkam and I see: (there is polish message (in my
environment), so I try to translate):
"<span weight="bold" size="larger">Could not list folders in '/'.</span>
There is an error in library 'io' (cannot find any device on USB port).
Cannot find USB device (class 0x6, subclass 0x1, protocol 0x1).
Chceck, that device is connected to computer."
I tried this on various kernels (2.4.27, 2.6.8) with the same results.
Other USB devices (USB drive and bluetooth) works fine.
