it seems like apt-listchanges ignores LC_* variables (especially LC_MESSAGES) in it's localization code: Reading package fields... Done Reading package status... Done Retrieving bug reports... Done Parsing Found/Fixed information... Done Lese Changelogs... Fertig (Reading database ... 229691 files and directories currently installed.) As you can see, apt-listchanges prints german messages while everything else prints english.
