I looked at the package, and a related problem was tried to be solved in January. Moving other temporary files from /var/tmp to /var/run, which is also incorrect.
This package seems to be unmaintained. As is also uninstallable on default setups (it requires a special mount option on /var!!), wouldn't it be reasonable to remove it from testing? (popcon reports only 15 installs) -- Martín Ferrari
