Package: cvs Version: 1:1.12.13-5 Followup-For: Bug #292202
It has been almost 2 years since I filed the report. I wish to report that the bug still exists in the 1.12.13-5 version of cvs. To summarize again, 1. If a file has been removed (from local and the repository) using "cvs rm", doing a subsequent "cvs add" (without the file being present) causes cvs to act as advertised and tells you to use "cvs commit" to commit the resurrection. 2. However, when you actually do the "cvs commit", cvs will complain that "Up-to-date check failed" for the file in question. (Obviously, because the file is NOT supposed to be there.) 3. If you use cvs co or some other means to manually restore the local copy first, the "cvs commit" succeeds.
