Package: eclipse-cdt Version: 3.0.1-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Hello! With eclipse 3.2.1 installed, eclipse fails to start with CDT 3.0.1-3 installed as well. After starting up, a message is shown telling "Error notifying preference change listener. Check the log for details". Unfortunately I couldn't locate this logfile, it's neither located in ~/.eclipse nor $WORKSPACE/.metadata/..log as stated in the manpage. After some search on the internet, I found out that this problem occurs because CDT 3.0 is not supposed to be used with eclipse 3.2. After removing the debian package and installing CDT 3.1.1, everything worked again, but I'd prefer to use the debian package. Please update the package, right now it is unusable with eclipse in Debian. Thanks Johannes PS: Thanks for packaging eclipse! This is the first bigger problem I ever had with the packages!
