unfortunately, this will never make it into the debian php5 package
tree for two reasons:
first, the php team has more or less decided that the php5 source
package produces the binary packages that are shipped with the source,
and no more. for all others, they should be packaged seperately (which
can still be done within the framework of the pkg-php team).
secondly, and more unfortunately, the code in question is licensed under
the GPL, which is not compatible with the PHP license (which has been a
problem for other modules as well). thus, it can not even be packaged
seperately and distributed with debian :(
