Hi, as I understand [1], this is the "wanted" behavior to "improve consistency with other applications running on Linux" and not a real bug. I personally would love to see iceweasel in Debian to be preconfigured to browser.backspace_action=0, but this is maintainer's choice. Because of this i would set severity to wishlist, not important.
