Maybe if you delete those cache files and start program again, it could
help. The cache files are re-created automatically when the program is
started.

/home/dmeggy/.wesnoth/cache/game.cfg-cache-v1.1.12-CAMPAIGN_SON_OF_THE_BLACK_EYE-EASY
I guess the campaign "SON_OF_THE_BLACK_EYE" is incompatible with version
1.1.12. Or there are more versions of it, and somehow you started newer
version of program with older version of campaign. But this is only guess.
