Hi, 2006/12/18, Christian Perrier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
(trying to solve an issue in Debian with fonts for the Malayalam language, one of the official languages in India. This language uses its own script. Debian Installer is now translated in Malayalam but we have problems to display Malayalam in D-I due to #403404)
There is an updated version of Rachana (it is available with Soumyadeep) which does not have these issues. I could include it in a next NMU of ttf-indic-fonts, aimed at fixing
#403404, caused by errors in the Rachana font.
Please use the new version of Rachana font (Rachana_w01.ttf) My conclusion currently, about Malayalam fonts is:
-The Rachana font (Racotf04) could have potential licensing issues. See http://bugs.debia.org/385990 for background
