I can confirm this bug.
This might be related to some compatibility with libgtk2.0-0 ?

% script log.gtk
% strace gtkdialog
% exit
% grep ^open /tmp/log.gtk | grep -v ENOENT | \
  sed -e 's/^.*"\(.*\)",.*/\1/' |xargs grep -li gtkdialog
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
