In order to correct the segfaults on 64 bits systems, the author have provided a new "official" version integrating some important patches.
It has been tagged in the cvs release2_0_1. See : http://www.cvstrac.org/cvstrac/tktview?tn=674 I've updated the package to this version and tested it on i386 and amd64 successfully.
