I'm experiencing the same problem for some weeks with 3.0.23d-2+b1 and
some previous versions running as PDC on a debian server.
As it crashes in create_token_from_username for use "nobody" I tried to
dig a bit and found that the crashes are on accessing public shares
("guest only = yes").
Reinstalling the software did not help for me. As a workaround I removed
"guest only = yes" from all appropriate shares and the crash is gone.
Downgrading to an older 3.0 version helps to, but as the tdb format has
changed you'll have to restore the databases from backup.
My config is quite similar to Rodrigo's.
