Mhmm, something is borked.

Current status:
o upstream disabled media support short before 0.8.1
A better implementations was planed (and was done)
for 0.9. So --download-from does not mount a USB
mass storage device. That's what Rob noticed.
o There a desktop file (afair) taken from bugs.kde.org/SuSE
by coolo. But this report contained also a patch for
          digikam.

I've never use this SuSE media support variant for 0.8.2 myself.
So I don't know how well it works.

Solutions:
        1) add digikam patch needed to support the servicemenu
           entry digikam_upload_photos.desktop

        2) follow upstream remove media: support. That is
            a) don't install debian/digikam_upload_photos.desktop
            b) comment out last sentence --download-from in digikam
               manpage that talks about (auto)mounting.

Mark, implement whatever you feel is the best. I've no etch system
right now.
