Package: jabber
Current package name and description:
jabber - Daemon for the jabber.org Open Source Instant Messenger
This should be:
jabberd14 - An instant messaging server using the Jabber/XMPP protocol
Because:
* "Jabber" is a collection of protocols, it is not a software project
* jabberd14 is the current official name of the project in this package
* jabber.org is not running jabberd14 but ejabberd, and thus the package
description is not fair against ejabberd as people might think they
installed the same software as on jabber.org which is not true.
* jabberd14 is no "instant messenger", but an "instant messaging serer"
(btw: I even think the name "Messenger" is a trademark of AOL in the US
and thus may not be used)
Also note that the website is not http://www.jabber.org/, but
http://jabberd.org/ today. On the latter website you can find more
information that can help to fix this bug report.
