After a recent upgrade (on a different system than the initial report on
this bug) my log kept getting:
Jan 2 14:02:28 iron cyrus/imap[11036]: SQUAT failed
Jan 2 14:09:01 iron cyrus/imap[11036]: SQUAT failed
Jan 2 14:09:43 iron cyrus/imap[11036]: SQUAT failed
Jan 2 14:30:28 iron cyrus/imap[11036]: SQUAT failed
Jan 2 14:46:28 iron cyrus/imap[11036]: SQUAT failed
Jan 2 14:58:28 iron cyrus/imap[11036]: SQUAT failed

My cyrus.conf has
#squatter_1 cmd="/usr/bin/nice -n 19 /usr/sbin/squatter -s" period=120
squatter_a cmd="/usr/sbin/squatter" at=0517

I.e., nightly job is enabled, but the more frequent ones are disabled.

I am manually running /usr/sbin/squatter now, as user cyrus. I believe
in the past that has cleared up this problem.

The postinst invokes
        /usr/sbin/cyrus-makedirs --cleansquat
leading to the elimination of the indices and thus, I speculate, to the
error messages.
