Yes. Never noticed any terminal breaking Ctrl-based keybindings
(except C-? and C-d aka Delete and Backspace and sometimes C-h :-) --
and Ctrl-based keybindings are ASCII...
Hey, they work fine! Thanks! (Although I wouldn't have expected such
keybindings for Page Up/Down as an Emacsian. :-)

Yeah, you're right there. Notice that always with Emacs over some
ssh/screen/etc. connections. You either have to prepend all umlauts
with C-q or Delete-Word (M-d aka "รค") doesn't work and needs to be
typed as "Esc d".

You're right, C-f and C-b are not documented in the quick-help of
Sid's version of aptitude.
I retitled this bug report so that it's clear that this fact is the
real bug. :-)
