Package: udftools Version: 1.0.0b3-11 Severity: normal Since /dev/pktcdvd* block devices have dynamic major number, MAKEDEV is not an adequate way to create them. Thus, at least one binary from the package (pktsetup) is useless without udev, but udftools don't even suggest udev.
A separate bug has been filed against makedev so that it stops making /dev/pktcdvd* at all, exactly because of the dynamic major number. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages udftools depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.8 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libreadline5 5.2-1 GNU readline and history libraries ii makedev 2.3.1-83 creates device files in /dev udftools recommends no packages. -- debconf information: udftools/makedev-ask: Create device files -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
