I think it might not crash at random, however. I believe that you're hitting the original bug #396636 :) Wait just some hour for eclipse 3.2.1-4 (I know, this is an "old" bug) being installed for all architectures and retry without setting anything, and it won't crash!
I reopened this bug because even with this fix I can't use yet the internal browser; with an external browser (iceape, iceweasel) eclipse works well. Cheers, -- Giuseppe D'Angelo
