Package: eboard Followup-For: Bug #280339 Hi :-)
I'm Eboard's new Italian translator (my work appears in the just-released-and-very-swiftly-uploaded 1.0.2 version, despite it being almost ready much before... oh well :) ). Thank you for the report and all my apologies for spotting this only now (I'm guilty of not scanning Eboard's BTS since long :-( ). However, I'm afraid your report is wrong :) First of all, the original English sentence says: "GNU Chess, Crafty and Sjeng are chess engines that are available at no cost."; so, there's no mention of "freedom" whatsoever. And rightly so, because Crafty itself, although being open source, is not Free Software, since the author put restrictions on it that make it non-free (and it's actually in the "non-free" branch in Debian; more info in Crafty's copyright file). On this basis, I retained the word "gratuiti" in my revamped translation.
