when I kill all mozilla-firefox and mozilla instanzes and wipe out the .mozilla and .firefox directories, mozilla-firefox fails to start with following message: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client! (firefox-bin:12546): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: This makes no sense. With strace -f, I see multiple openings of the .Xauthority file and only after a while it simply breaks. When I run "host +" and start FF once, then it does work after that, even with "host -".
