Well, I beg to disagree here. I claim some experience about debconf stuff and the removed debconf note is, I'm afraid, blatant debconf abuse. So, as this indeed affects l10n, I consider fixing this part of the l10n catching up work, especially when the initial bug report for debconf abuse got no comment. Sorry for the mess with the lack of received notice on your side...there seem to be a really wrong way to handle <package>@p.d.o mails on Debian servers. Anyway, I leave all this in your hands....
