I had an old version of libnotify1 (0.3.2-4). When mail-notification
should paint a popup, it crashed instead. Easy to test: No need to
set up any mailboxes, just leave the default settings ("Enable message
popups" checked) and check "Test message".
Command line said:
(mail-notification:26301): GLib-GObject-WARNING **:
IA__g_object_new_valist: object class `MNPopup' has no property
named `summary'
Updating libnotify1 to 0.4.3-1 helped. Please consider adding a
versioned dependency.
