Hello, I have purged gnome-menus and gnome-panel and bunch of related applications from my system, by using aptitude purge. And I installed them again and I don't get Applications menu in Gnome panel yet.
Your suggestion below I have tried and it is independent of the problem. I have today tried with new user which has no configurations and still there were no Applications.
