Package: upstart Version: 0.3.2-1 Severity: minor /usr/share/doc/upstart/README.Debian.gz contains following instruction:
> Upstart isn't working, how do I debug it?
> -----------------------------------------
>
> Add "--debug" to the kernel command-line, and be sure to remove "quiet"
> and "splash" if existent. You'll now see debugging messages as upstart
> works.
However, if I try to follow it, the /usr/lib/yaird/exec/run_init complains
about invalid option, followed by kernel panic because of "Attempt to kill
init".
I did not attempt to check whether the option works with mkinitrd.
Note: I have downgraded upstart to 0.3.1-1, because 0.3.2-1 did not work for
me (see #410830), but I came across this problem when trying to get 0.3.2-1
working.
