m> Use --tree or --short. To pick a single device use -u.
What a surprise. Then this is wrong, as there is a lot more:
SYNOPSIS
lshal [--monitor]
say
lshal [options]
And reading the below, nobody would guess that --help would give more:
OPTIONS
These programs follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long
options starting
with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included below.
-h, --help
Show summary of options.
--monitor
If this option is given then the device list and all devices are
monitored for
changes.
Indeed, one would think one would get more out of the man page than
the --help page unless the man page says there is MORE on the --help page.
