Package: flashplugin-nonfree
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I've recently packaged nspluginwrapper for Debian, a tool to help NPAPI
plugins run on other architectures. It's been sponsored and should appear in
unstable this week.

It's been built to run i386 plugins on amd64 and ia64 architectures, because:
  - I don't know of any closed source plugins built for architectures other
    than i386.
  - ia32-libs and ia32-libs-gtk are only available on amd64 and ia64.

I was wondering if the flashplugin-nonfree package could be modified so that
it builds for amd64 and ia64 as well as i386. If it depends on nspluginwrapper
on amd64 and ia64, the plugin could be installed somewhere other than
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, and 'nspluginwrapper -i /path/to/flashplugin.so'
run on postinst (and 'nspluginwrapper -r
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.flashplugin.so' run on prerm).

If you have neither an amd64 or ia64 machine to hand, I will happily test
anything for you regarding this change - that is, if you are interested in
making this change :)

Kind regards,
rob.
