Package: xpdf-utils Version: 3.01-9 Severity: normal
I often create PDF-files out of a collection of scanned pages (PNG-Format) using 'convert' and 'pdftk'. These files are displayed properly in xpdf, and converted properly by pdftoppm, but when converted by pdftops, the image (which normally filles an A4 page) only occuppies a small section of the page in the lower-left corner in the PS file. Other pages, containing only text, or text and images, however, convert properly. A 3-page example is attached, the first and last pages are normal text, the middle page is a scanned image. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages xpdf-utils depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libpaper1 1.1.21 Library for handling paper charact ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii xpdf-common 3.01-9 Portable Document Format (PDF) sui xpdf-utils recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
