Package: websec Version: 1.9.0-1 This web robot does not honour the robots.txt exclusion standard. Furthermore, it is buggy. Our web server is now under attack for the last three months by this piece of crap.
This is going on for three months now: 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:29 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" 89.14.181.111 - - [20/Feb/2007:15:11:30 +0100] "GET /download.html HTTP/1.1" 200 160 "-" "WebSec/1.9" The only thing I can do about it is firewall the origin, but alas, it is on a dynamic IP-address. This program is harmfull for the internet. Therefore I object to distribution by Debian of this software in its current form. Best regards, Daniël Mantione
