The latest 2.4.29 ISO at http://wiki.osuosl.org/display/LNX/Debian+on+Dell+Servers installs fine on the Precision 670 with the AIC-7901 card. You may be able to roll in their modifications if booting a 2.4 kernel on these systems is important for Sarge. I assume that a standard 2.6.10 kernel will also work, but I'll confirm that after upgrading to Sarge.
