phpMyAdmin does some smart tricks to correct 'user errors' in the
PmaAbsoluteUri setting, among others in selecting the right scheme. It
might be that your URL is incorrectly modified. However, this

quite some factors which are not easy to diagnose remotely.
Therefore I'd like to ask the following questions:
- Does phpMyAdmin work correctly without having the PmaAbsoluteUri set
at all?
yes, but only when I run it on a non-SSL Apache2 (Port 80)
- Does setting the ForceSSL option work?
setting "$cfg['Servers'][$i]['ForceSSL'] = TRUE;" shows no effect
- Does setting "SSLOptions +StdEnvVars" in the Apache config help?
setting this in apache2.conf in the <VirtualHost *:443> section shows
no effect.
- Did anything change in your setup that might have cause this
behaviour
change?
not that I am aware of.
Phpmyadmin's login page on the SSL server still redirects me to a non-
existing index.php on the non-SSL server, throwing a 404. If I
manually go to the SSL site then, I am actually logged in.
